We build the environmental intelligence infrastructure for institutions that cannot afford to be surprised.
Vakt Systems exists to close the gap between when environmental conditions go wrong and when someone finds out.
Water damage that compromises inventory. Temperature excursions that affect pharmaceutical integrity. Humidity fluctuations that threaten irreplaceable collections. These are preventable problems — when the data arrives in time and is structured against the standards that govern the environment.
We build continuous monitoring and standards-aligned compliance evaluation for environments where the consequences of being wrong are not commercial — they are irreversible.
Sub-minute monitoring with multi-channel alerting is the operational baseline, not a premium tier.
All platform infrastructure runs in the ca-central-1 AWS region. Data is stored, processed, and analyzed within Canadian jurisdiction.
Standards-aligned compliance evaluation runs continuously against your real environmental data — not against averaged summaries produced once a month.
Wireless sensors install in hours. The platform configures in minutes. No facility wiring, no infrastructure changes, no multi-month deployment projects.
Andrew Tilston is the founder of Vakt Systems, based in Squamish, British Columbia. His background spans management in the technology and construction sectors — operational experience that informs how Vakt approaches the intersection of software, physical facilities, and the institutions that depend on both. Andrew is a platform builder, not a conservator; Vakt is built in close collaboration with conservation, facilities, and operations professionals whose domain expertise shapes how the platform serves their work. Vakt's first focus is Canadian cultural heritage, with the same platform extending to scientific research, construction, cold chain, and other regulated environments where continuous monitoring matters.
Vakt Systems Ltd. is the customer-facing operating entity that builds, deploys, and supports the Vakt platform. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Realitas Labs Inc., the parent holding company headquartered in Squamish, British Columbia.
Vakt is a registered partner of Disruptive Technologies, the Norwegian sensor manufacturer whose hardware powers most Vakt deployments.
Vakt is currently in early pilot deployment with Canadian institutions across construction, scientific research, and cultural heritage. Our pilot partners are validating platform behaviour against real institutional environments, compliance frameworks, and operational requirements. Reference customer relationships will be available as our pilot programs mature through 2026.
We are building Vakt as a long-term platform — one that institutional buyers can trust to be operating, supporting, and improving the environmental intelligence layer of their facilities for decades, not quarters.
